Hopping Good Time!

The Dallas Alum celebrated their annual "Easter Basket" event. The sisters gathered to fill Easter baskets for mentally challenged adults attending the Richardson Transition Center. We overfilled 12 baskets full of goodies for this philanthropic activity. This year was a first for us since we had our children and grandchildren attend for an Easter Egg hunt! It was so much fun watching the children run around the backyard collecting over 80 eggs. Of course, we ended our event with a nice sandwich spread and desserts. We welcome any newcomers to the area that would like to attend an event!

Good Food, Good Friends

The Dallas Alum met in February for our favorite event of the year, the Lasagna Dinner. This year Adrienne Zimmerman and her husband Jason hosted the event. We had a total of 15 attend including spouses and boyfriends. We had a wonderful meal catered by Olive Garden and homemade strawberry cake from Carrie Wilson. It was great catching up with all the sisters and talking about future events. Our next event will be an Easter Egg hunt for the family hosted by Bonita Maurer on April, 5. Hope to see you there!

Scrapbook Fun

The Dallas Alumnae Sisters met in January at the Scrapbook Barn to update the prize winning Scrapbook. Our Scrapbook usually wins an award at our National Convention. Five sisters each took a page or two and developed a layout with pictures from the past years events. Marianne Pignone made a big announcement that she was going to become a grandmother. It was also annonuced that Jody McDaniel, who recently moved to London, will be having her third child this July. It was so much fun that we plan to Scrapbook again this fall. If you like to scrap please join us in September!
